  46. Pique is a Usenet .BAG file processor.  This is used mainly in conjunction
  47. with those BBS systems that are running the Planet Connect or Pagesat
  48. satellite systems.  Pique will process the downlinks .BAG files and create
  49. new .BAG files with -only- those newsgroups you configure it for.  It will
  50. additionally weed out any and/or all of those nasty and unwanted UNIX header 
  51. lines so that the size of your message base will be smaller and the messages 
  52. will be more attractive.

  61.              - Gaming/quiz software for TBBS/TDBS systems -

  63. The online Purity Test is basically an online quiz for your users that 
  64. conducts the (in)famous purity test.  The version of the purity test used
  65. is the 500 question version and is broken into its original 11 sections so
  66. that a user doesn't have to take all of the questions in one session.  Once
  67. all of the sections are taken a final score is given. Features include:
  68.         
  69.         * Utter privacy, scores kept only at the section level
  70.         * The TOP TEN most naughty and most nice
  71.         * List by most naughty/nice
  72.         * Sysop defined Email conference name for Email capabilities
  73.         * An UltraChat hook that allows someone in chat to pull up you score
  74.         * Kurt's usual amazing sysop options screen, includes purging
  75.           by date, name, etc.  Has many, many controls built in.

  88.              - Utility software for TBBS/TDBS systems -

  90. OVERVIEW:
  91.   This software provides a beautiful interface to both a public and
  92. private internet 'address' book.  Put this on your Mail and Internet
  93. menus and delight the customer!  (Your users of course)
  94.  
  95. OPERATION:
  96.   Upon entering the Internet Mailer your user will be presented with 
  97. an attractive interface that includes the existing PUBLIC addresses that
  98. you or other users have put into the database.  The user can then begin
  99. to punch in their most used addresses.  This has two advantages to it:
  100. it in convenient and fast and it does away with possible typing errors
  101. that can be introduced in some of these monster addresses.  
  102.   The address books, both public and private, are sorted on NAME by 
  103. default, but can also be sorted on frequency of writings as well.  A 
  104. two line description can be included and will automatically pop up at
  105. the bottom of the screen as the user scrolls through the list with their
  106. cursor keys.  A record of WHO added records is also included in the 
  107. database and can be seen from the <E>dit menu when viewing/editing a
  108. record.

  111. SHAREWARE VERSION LIMIT:
  112.   The shareware version is limited only by a nag screen.

  115. MAINTENANCE MENU:
  116.   If your TBBS access level is high enough you can access the maintenance
  117.   menu from the program by pressing the '!' key.  Options available here:

  119.   * Delete a user
  120.   * Delete all users who haven't used the database in x days
  121.   * Delete ALL users (start over)
  122.   * Specify the name of the Internet e-mail msg base
  123.   * Allow users to edit the PUBLIC book
  124.   * Allow users to download the PUBLIC book
  125.   * Import records from the older 'Internet Address Book'
  126.   * Pack user database & rebuild indices

  128.   YOU MUST BE THE ONLY (EXCLUSIVE) USER OF THE ADDRESS BOOK at the 
  129. time  that  you use this option.  It physically  removes  records 
  130. which  have been marked for deletion using the other  maintenance 
  131. functions (described above).  It also rebuilds the indices.

  135.   This allows the sysop to set the minimum access level  required 
  136. to utilize the Maintenance Menu.  If you do not change this,  the 
  137. default is 200.  The value you specify must be between 1 and 255.

  159.   Every year the CIA publishes the World Factbook, a reference of country
  160.   information.  Included are topics on a countries economy, infrastructure,
  161.   communications, and military strengths.  Shiva is glad to bring you the
  162.   latest edition of this terrific resource.   Not only can you view the info
  163.   online but you can turn on your CAPTURE LOG and create a file from any 
  164.   of these records, and then print it, incorporate it into a document, etc.

  167. OVERVIEW:
  168.    The CIA WORLD FACT BOOK is public domain information.  The packaging of
  169.    said information however is a sellable commodity.  I wanted this
  170.    information so bad that I took the time to slice and dice it into a
  171.    format that works excellently with TBBS systems using the TYPE=20 call
  172.    to a 'family name database' structure.  This database is over 2.5 megs
  173.    large and is cut into approximately 280 files.   It took me roughly
  174.    5 hours of drudgery to do this so for 20.00 I think you could save
  175.    yourself a LOT of pain and frustration.   Your users will thank you as
  176.    well!

  178. INSTALLATION: 
  179.    Unzip the entire package into a directory, ie. C:\CIA.  Then edit the
  180.    CIA.DES file to suit your own BBS.  In one of your .SDL menus you will
  181.    want to add the following:

  186.    That's all there is to ie.  Make sure to edit the entry above with 
  187.    the proper path information.  You may also make each country individually
  188.    downloadable to your users by adding modifying the above paramaters.

  191.    There is no 1995 World Fact Book right now, this is the latest edition
  192.    available.  As updates are made you may always download them from

  205.   This software allows you, the sysop, to install as many 'calendars' as  
  206. you would like to have on your system.  These calendars can then be assigned
  207. 'owners' who, including yourself, will have the ability to add/modify/delete
  208. events from them.  Calendars can also be designated as 'public' and thereby
  209. allow your users to add as many events as they would like.  The interface
  210. is beautiful and has more bells and whistles then you can shake a stick at.
  211. In the usual Kurt Risser style, this program is a gem for -ANY- system.
  212. Your users will also be impressed with the power that a TBBS/TDBS system 
  213. has after an excellent programmer has gotten a hold of it!

  247.   MOVESL is a pseudo-directory sorter.  Sorts are possible on either a files
  248.   name or date.  This is especially important when you want to show your 
  249.   callers the most recently added files first. MOVESL will also create a 
  250.   beautiful output 'report' or 'master file list' as well, making it easy for 
  251.   your callers to stay updated on what files you have online.  If you have 
  252.   agonized over the best way to do this, fear no more...MOVESL is fully

  336.    PCM Online is a text-only version of the magazine PCM (the Premier 
  337. Personal Computer Magazine, established in 1984), which is published by 
  338. Falsoft, Inc. PCM Online is prepared just for bulletin-board services. It 
  339. contains all the articles, columns and features that go in the printed 
  340. version of PCM -- plus more!

  342.    One fundamental problem with a piece of paper is that it doesn't 
  343. stretch, but a digital "page" can be stretched to a nearly infinite 
  344. degree. So, in this online version, we can give you articles, hints, tips 
  345. and reviews that wouldn't fit in a month's printed edition. We can also 
  346. dig into our archives to present you with some of our favorite stuff from 
  347. past issues.

  349.    One thing that always set PCM apart from its competitors was its 
  350. listings: BASIC programs our readers could type in and run through the GW-
  351. BASIC or QBASIC interpreter. Real programs -- games, utilities, databases

  353. BASIC source code, we offered PCM ON DISK, and still do. Of course, you 
  354. don't need PCM ON DISK if you read PCM Online -- and you certainly don't 
  355. need to type in the listings to run our programs -- because the listings
